Calle 13 unveils new song

While giving the headline performance at the opening party of the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards Weekend...Calle 13 unveiled songs from their highly-anticipated new album Los de atrás vienen conmigo (“The ones left behind are coming with me”).

Both the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times spotlighted Calle 13’s Los de atrás vienen conmigo in their Fall Music Preview of Key Upcoming Releases:
“Politically aware and wildly raunchy, proudly Puerto Rican and knowingly pan-American, the duo Calle 13 — the rapper Residente and the producer Visitante — is the most consistently startling group to emerge from reggaetón, a genre that has never confined it. The New York Times also picked Calle 13’s Residente o Visitante as a Top-5 “Best Albums of 2007” selection.
